Herman Cain hits some speed bumps

It is too early in the race to lose key people in key states. Herman Cain has to recognize the significance of this and make the necessary adjustments if he wants to be a real contender. It is my belief that a lot of these staffers are really good at their jobs and the candidates should listen to them. But then again, it is the candidate we know and not the staffers. But, I still think this much turnover so soon is not good for the long tun.

Herman Cain’s presidential campaign should be flying high.

Last week, the highly anticipated first poll from the Des Moines Register put him in third place, with 10 percent support, ahead of more well-known presidential hopefuls.

But instead, the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO suffered a wave of resignations from his early-state staff, throwing into question whether Cain will continue to rise - or if this is as good as it gets for the long-shot candidate.

Iowa organizational director Tina Goff and New Hampshire director Matt Murphy quit, as did regional director Jim Zeiler and Iowa straw poll director Kevin Hall, with Goff and Murphy pointing to Cain’s refusal to invest more heavily in their respective states.
