Center of Empowerment was incorporated in 2008 by N. Bradley, to formalize the vision started over 60 years ago, to assist children and families who had been abused and/or neglected. The Center’s staff collectively has over 100 years experience in dealing with, mentoring, and influencing at risk children and families toward positive outcomes.
In 2010, COE started its Athletic division targeting at risk children and youth by providing sports teams. This allows a framework of structure and discipline to be setup around the participating youth, while providing them a fun and healthy outlet for energy and competition. This program ties back into the educational components of the other programs, by allowing the students access to the homework and tutoring programs offered by the Center.

Today, Center of Empowerment is a private not-for-profit 501 (C)(3) community organization, servicing at risk families and students in grades K-12 through our After School Tutorial Sessions, Mentoring, and Reading Enrichment Programs.
