Is this the only way to get healthcare?

Now, who says that we don't need health care for all? For the amount of money it took to arrest him, process him into the system and care for him while he is incarcerated, because he cannot afford bail, they could have paid for his medicine.  But this is how we as a country waste money and treat people. We care for animals more than we care for our fellow man.

Police have charged a man following a bizarre incident at a bank in Gastonia Thursday afternoon.

According to the Gastonia Police Department, there was a robbery around 1 p.m. at the RBC Bank at 500 S. New Hope Road.

Police said the suspect handed a teller a note saying 'This is a bank robbery and I need medical attention.' The man, who only requested one dollar, then sat down and waited for police to arrive.

When officers arrived, they took the man into custody, but they say he did not have a weapon.

Police identified the man as 59-year-old James Richard Verone of Poston Circle, Gastonia. They said he went into the bank because he needed money to pay for medical bills.
