Jack Bauer says 'we are safer'

  I have to admit, two of my favorite TV shows came to mind when the reports started coming in. Those two shows were, "24" and "The Unit". Enough said!!! 

Jack Bauer became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter following the death of Osama bin Laden. Tweeters thanked Bauer, the main character in Fox’s “24,” for doing away with public enemy number one. One tweeter on the topic said, “Let's all take this time to thank the one person who no doubt was behind the killing of Osama bin Laden: Jack Bauer.”

Kiefer Sutherland, who played Bauer on “24,” kept the trend alive by tweeting on Sunday, “Today's line for luck: "We performed the impossible, boys, never forget that, never."  On Tuesday, he added, “Sometimes real life is better than fiction. The world is a safer place.”  Considering a “24” movie is scheduled for release in 2012, it’s no surprise that Sutherland is playing along.
