Jada Uses Mother’s Day To Build, Grow With ‘RedTable Talks’

I agree communication is important in all relationships. It is the best way to express yourself as well as give yourself the opportunity to understand the other person. Mothers and daughters have a very unique relationship as it is. I pray that this helps some mother or daughter open the lines of communication that may have been disconnected.

For Mother’s Day, you may want to try having a roundtable with your mom or daughter. That’s what actress Jada Pinkett-Smith decided to do with her daughter, Willow, and mom, Adrienne Banfield Jones. Starting off the conversation with nothing but a red table and a glass bowl full of questions, actress Jada let the public in on an honest dialogue with family. On why she created “RedTable,” Jada says:

“My belief is that communication is the best way to create strong relationships.  Just for people to be able to sit down together and have a conversation, that’s the power of love. Love is what sometimes holds us and binds us when we’re not so happy. If we concentrate on how much we can love one another, we can get through all the other stuff.”
