Wow What a Week!!!!

As we near the end of another week, I was in awe by some of the events of the week. First we have the GOP, I mean Tea Party debate that occurred on Monday hosted by CNN. Why did CNN feed into the 'Tea Party' nonsense by sponsoring a debate for them? Unless I missed it, the Tea Party is not a separate political party. Anyway, this is the second time that the audience at the GOP debates applauded death. What is that all about? I think it is sad that they have no regard for human life.

Second, I saw Tom Brady put on a show out of this world on Monday night. Tom Brady looked almost like superman out there.

Third, well, it did not take long for the GOPs in Congress to get their talking points straight about the President's Jobs Plan. It is amazing to me that until the President came out with a plan, the GOP had not produced a plan. I am worried that the debates around the America Jobs Act will turn into the Healthcare debates and the debt ceiling debate. Unfortunately, it is the President that usually comes out of these debates the most bruised. I am also worried that the GOP will do nothing and we will continue to see unemployment soar.

The sad part is, just like healthcare and debt ceiling, the President is fighting against his own party as well. There are some Democrats that believe the plan is too big and some that don't think it is big enough. Because of that, they are out talking against the President and his plan.

Fourth, with the GOP victories in NY and Nevada, the media is declaring it a 'referrendum' on the President. I reject that declaration. They are also trying to manufacture a problem in the Jewish community and with Independents. The President has a lot to work to do between now and the election for sure. The media is only making it more difficult by creating extra problems.

They would do us all a favor to report on what the President has accomplished in these last three years. They could also report on the lack of work the 112th Congress has completed in relation to the 111th Congress during the same time frame.  I am sure that when Nancy Pelosi was Speaker, the House was a lot more productive.  Nancy Pelosi's House put the needs of the people over the politics of the party. The media could do a better job of educating the public so that people can make informed decisions at the ballot box. Someone has to take the hysteria out of our political process.

What do you think?
