TSA to African American woman: We have to search your 'poofy' hair

This has happened to me before. My hair was pinned up with a lot of bobby pins. Initially, they wanted me to take my hair down. I gave them a look. Then they pulled me to the 'search area'. I calmly mentioned how much I liked my style. I also mentioned that it was no way I could put my hair back together if they made me take it down. I have to also admit that I did not see any other passengers with up styles being escorted to the search area.
