CNN cancels Eliot Spitzer's show

Unfortunately, I still do not see anyone on the evening cable shows that look like me. I wonder if there will ever be another Bernard Shaw. I always felt like he was talking right to me. These shows these days is for ratings and nonsense. Even the ones I like, I think are for ratings. Oh well, maybe next time Soledad or Don.

Today we are announcing a new evening lineup that showcases our journalism and further differentiates and distinguishes CNN. Beginning Aug. 8, we will broadcast "AC360," our flagship news program, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Then, in late September, we will add Erin Burnett’s new show at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. "Piers Morgan" will continue at 9 p.m. and midnight, while "John King USA" and "The Situation Room" will both be broadcast one hour earlier, at 6 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

This lineup emphasizes our focus on quality journalism and on hosts who are proven reporters, as well as on shows that successfully combine original reporting with news analysis, civil debate and a wide range of inclusive and differing opinions.
