Maya Angelou Gets Her Own Show on Hallmark Channel

An unscripted lifestyle series with Maya Angelou is on deck for the Hallmark Channel as part of its programming slate for 2011-12.

In a lunch time upfront presentation Wednesday, the network announced that the new 13-episode series hosted by Angelou is called “The Spirit Table” and will feature “well-known guests.” Hallmark executives did not immediately announce names.

The network also confirmed the launch of “Emeril’s Table,” a new show featuring Emeril Lagasse, and “Jingle All the Way,” a half-hour animated Christmas special featuring bestselling Hallmark character Jingle the Husky Pup.
