Contrary to populary opininon, Will and Jada Smith are taking the family business to the next level. I am so excited to see the success of this family, that it almost bring tears to my eyes. Will has always maintained above the fray and project positive images that anyone could be proud of. God has a way of keeping his people and Will is certainly in His favor. Most recently, a report by the Associated Press said that ... "another of Will and Jada Smith's children will bring a fresh face -- and new perspective -- to an old favorite: "Ten-year-old Willow Smith is set to play the title role in Annie. "The film is being developed by Overbrook Entertainment, which the Smiths co-own, along with Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter and Sony Pictures." The fact that Will Smith is teaming up with 'Jay-Z' is a sign that the entertainers are starting to finally get it!
The AP contines by saying, "Last year, 12-year-old Jaden Smith starred in a remake of The Karate Kid, which raked in $343 million worldwide. "Sony's Columbia Pictures first brought Annie to theaters in 1982.
"The movie was based on the Broadway musical in which an orphan's life is transformed when she goes to live with the wealthy industrialist Oliver 'Daddy' Warbucks."The AP contines by saying, "Last year, 12-year-old Jaden Smith starred in a remake of The Karate Kid, which raked in $343 million worldwide. "Sony's Columbia Pictures first brought Annie to theaters in 1982.
If she handles the task anywhere near as well as Jaden did in The Karate Kid, we want to know where to preorder tickets -- for ourselves and for the kids in our lives who don't even know how lucky they are to see faces that look like theirs in these roles." Will Smith and the Smith family, keep up the good work. We will continue to lift you up.

Cook, when I see these kids in interviews, I can't stand them! They are far too grown for their own good, with the exception of Tre, that is. I get the sense that he was raised so very different from them. Thanks to his Mom! Will and Jada need to make their kids sit their asses down somewhere...uuuggghh!
I somewhat agree with your previous post, but I think sometimes the people doing the interviews were asking some 'questionable' questions. I just hope they stay grounded and focused. But it will be good to see a little black girl playing Annie.
Interesting point of view. It seems that the children display respect and good mannerism; it looks like they are know what they want to do in life (more that I can say for most adults); and I do believe not only are they growing up in a different era, but a different socio-economic status as well. Would love to see what other people think.
I too am excited to see this new Annie. However, not because of the cast, but because of the art. Will Smith done an amazing job with "Karate Kid," and I want to see can he really out-do himself this time around. I am beginnig to see the creative side of Mr. Smith and I am really "diggin' it." Bring it on Mr. Smith, let's see what you got for us now!
