Male Abuse Awareness Week

On Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. central, I will be interviewing recording artist Petra Luna on BlogTalkRadio. Petra Luna is a professional musician by trade but much more to her beloved fans and followers. She has become one of the matriarchs of her cause to fight child abuse as well as one of the cause’s most recognized faces. An exemplary survivor of all forms of abuse, she inspires thousands of people to unite in the name of her cause. She also encourages victims of abuse to seek help, justice and recovery through her music and nonprofit organization she calls the P. Luna Foundation.

The P.Luna Foundation fights child abuse by creating innovative programs to educate, aid law enforcement, and build awareness about the growing epidemic of child abuse and exploitation.  This year, Cook Enterprises - Current Events with Patrick Cook - and The P. Luna Foundation are joining forces in support of Male Abuse Awareness Week.  Male Abuse Awareness Week is an awareness campaign held every year from Dec 1st through 8th and this website is an extension of that program.

It is a program dedicated to the special needs of young boys and men who have been abused, in an attempt to stop these young males from growing up to abuse others and repeat the cycle of abuse.
