E.T. Tweet Home... from Mars

As we approace the summer of 2012, the world's first indirect facebook post, twitter feed, or tumblr microblog could be from an extraterrestrial explorer on Mars. That's right, NASA launched its Curiosity rover, toward Mars on Saturday on a search for evidence that the planet might once have been home to microscopic life.

The New York Times reported, "The rover, officially known as the Mars Science Laboratory, was hoisted into a cloudy sky on Saturday morning by an Atlas V rocket. More than 13,000 guests crowded the Cape Canaveral space center for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s first mission to Earth’s next-door neighbor in four years, and the first launching of a Martian rover in eight years."

If life is found, what implications would that have on our society? How would that change one's religious views? Let me know your thoughts. We will keep a close eye on this situation over the weeks and months to come. Let me know you think.
