This is ridiculous. He totally contradicts himself from a week ago with his video about the 'Cain Train'. In my opinion, the roll out of the 'tea party' was tinged in too much racism and racist statements and pictures for me. The government has been out of control in terms of spending every since Bush took us to war. Although the Tea Party was in action during the Bush presidency, I do not recall so many 'mainstream' politicians prescribing to the rhetoric. I am still waiting on some substance from Cain and not just style. Maybe by the debate next week, he will have more to say. In my opinion, he has completely lost his mind on this one. So black people cannot afford to go to 'tea party' rallies and travel across the country because we are not owners of companies, we are just workers. So the show up of black people at the President's rallies is a fluke?? WOW!!!!
Asked about his own position as the most prominent African American in the Republican party these days, Herman Cain is fond of saying he refuses to "stay on the Democratic plantation like he's supposed to" or that he refused to drink the liberal Kool-Aid.
Asked why more African Americans haven't joined him at tea party rallies and conservative conventions like the Faith And Family Conference in DC this weekend, the millionaire ex-CEO has a different explanation. African Americans, Cain told TPM, are too poor to tea party.
"They can't afford to," Cain said. "So I think the first reason is economics. If you just look at the sheer economics of it."
