Mitch Daniels signs Indiana right-to-work law

Wow!!! I don't think this is going to end well for the state of Indiana. I wonder how many businesses will leave the state? Will the NFL and NBA teams leave considering their relationships with unions? How will this play out this weekend during the SuperBowl? I believe the people of Indiana will wake up with buyers remorse. I just hope it is not too late for them!!!

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels signed the right-to-work bill on Wednesday, making the state the first in the Rust Belt to enact the controversial law.

The Indiana Senate approved right-to-work legislation 28-22 on Wednesday just a week after the state House also passed the controversial measure, which would prohibit contracts requiring all workers to pay mandatory union dues, The Associated Press reported.

The law bars unions from imposing mandatory fees on members.

Indianapolis hosts the Super Bowl on Feb. 5, and last week Daniels said it would be a “colossal mistake” to protest the game or any of the associated celebrations.

Union members shouted “See you at the Super Bowl” and “Shame on you!” at the Statehouse in Indianapolis when the vote was announced, according to the AP. And Indiana AFL-CIO spokesman Jeff Harris told the AP that they plan to pass out pamphlets before the game.
