Julian White, Florida A&M Band Director, Fired After Suspected Hazing

It looks like heads are starting to roll.  In fact, Huff Post is reporting that the longtime director of FAMU's famous marching band was fired Wednesday.  The article contends that "Florida's governor said state investigators would join the probe and the college announced an independent review led by a former state attorney general."

It is unfortunate that this had to happen to Robert Champion, but it is all too true that this happens more than it should around college campuses around the world.  In this instance, Champion 26, was found unresponsive on a bus parked outside an Orlando hotel on Saturday night after the school's football team lost to rival Bethune-Cookman. Champion, of Atlanta, was vomiting and had complained he couldn't breathe before he collapsed. Investigators believe hazing occurred before 911 was called."
