Schwarzenegger Postpones Return to Film

I think this was a great move by Schwarzenegger. He definitely did not want to have a 'Mel Gibson' moment. It is one thing to have to talk to his wife and kids about about his cheating, but now to talk about the child as well. The last thing he needs to focus on is remembering his lines and protests on the movie set. Good move Mr. Arnold.

Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is putting his acting career on pause, one of his lawyers said Thursday, amid the news that he had fathered a child with a former member of his household staff more than a decade ago. The lawyer, Patrick Knapp, said in a statement that at Mr. Schwarzenegger’s request “we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently under way or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice. Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines.” The hiatus will include “Cry Macho,” a movie that was expected to begin production in August. The Terminator franchise and all other projects under consideration are also on hold, Mr. Knapp said, adding: “We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides.”
