They seemed real laxed in their behavior for this to have been the first time. Oh well, only time will tell how this all plays out.

Lawmakers predicted Thursday that more Secret Service agents involved in the alleged Colombian prostitution scandal will either resign or be fired from the agency soon. “It would not surprise me if there were, within the next few days, additional resignations or firings,” Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) told reporters on Thursday. “It would not surprise me.”

Added Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.): “At the least, they will be reprimanded, dealt with administratively. At the most, they will depart. That’s really something the investigation will decide.”

Issa and Cummings are the top lawmakers on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and have been briefed on the scandal that was disclosed ahead of President Barack Obama’s trip to South America for the Summit of the Americas. And another key lawmaker investigating the incident in Cartagena, Colombia — Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee — told CNN that he expects more Secret Service agents to leave either later Thursday or Friday.
